OUR CENTRE
Located on the edge of Butterstone Loch near Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire, we enjoy some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland and are ideally situated in central Scotland within easy reach of major cities and airports and just 10 minutes from the A9 trunk road.
Our Land Rover Experience centre is a traditionally-built wooden lodge, with stunning views across Butterstone Loch. There is a welcoming reception lounge area with a log burning stove, and dining area overlooking the loch where you can choose to have lunch. The centre is located within a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and as you check in for your Experience you may be lucky enough to see deer in the forest, an osprey fishing for trout in the loch, or a red squirrel at one of the feeders.
DRIVING CENTRE
Our specialist off-road driving centre, where your Young Off-Roader Experience will take place, is in nearby Dunkeld. This is the only official Land Rover accredited driving centre in Scotland, and has been designed to combine fun with safety off-road. The Young Off-Roader course includes steep slopes, man-made obstacles, rugged terrain and a small lochan to try out driving through water!
This is also where our adult Land Rover Experiences take place, so if your parents are on their own Experience while you are doing your Young Off-Roader Experience, you can meet up with them afterwards within the driving centre instead of returning to Butterstone Loch. This makes for the perfect family day out, with everyone having a go at off-road driving and coming together at the end to share stories and photos! There is also a viewing area where parents can watch from the comfort of their own car. Our sister company, Highland Offroad, also runs quad treks from the same centre, so you might want to extend your day with a bit more fun on four wheels of a different kind.
Refreshments
Coffee, tea, soft drinks and water are available at Butterstone Loch, and there are portable toilet facilities at the Driving Centre at Dunkeld. Lunch can be enjoyed in our dining room at Butterstone Loch. This is provided by a local coffee shop, Livvi’s in Dunkeld and must be booked by 12pm the day before your Experience. Lunch costs £14.95 per person.
