Where are you located?
Arrive and check in at our centre at Butterstone Loch (postcode for SatNav PH9 0HJ), where you will meet your instructor.
When are you open?
Young Off-Roader Experiences run every weekend and during school holidays. It is important to book in advance, to make sure that we have spaces available, and you can book by calling us (Monday – Sunday 8.45am – 4.45pm) on 01350 727720.
Who will lead my Young Off-Roader Experience?
You will be taught by a specialist Land Rover Experience instructor, so you can be sure that safety will be as important as fun!
How much does the Experience cost?
The one-hour Young Off-Roader Experience costs £170 for up to 2 junior drivers.
How do I book?
It’s easy to book! Just go to our Book Now page, select the date and time you want, then call us on 01350 727720 to book. The booking must be made by an adult (over 18). We will send an email confirmation and receipt.
If your parents would like to book a Land Rover Experience at the same time as your Young Off-Roader Experience, just let us know at the time of booking, so that we can make sure the timings of both Experiences tie in.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
Young Off-Roader junior Land Rover Experiences make great presents! Whether it’s for a birthday, Christmas or exam success celebration, a Young Off-Roader gift voucher will be the generate the most smiles. Once the voucher has been given, the Experience itself can be booked for a suitable date (vouchers are valid for one year, and the recipient must be aged 11 to 17 on the date of the Experience).
You can buy your gift voucher online, or call us on 01350 722720 to buy a gift voucher by phone using a credit or debit card. Gift voucher sales are managed by our sister company Highland Offroad.
What about insurance?
Land Rover Experience Scotland is fully insured, and you don’t need any extra insurance to take part in our Young Off-Roader programme.
What are the age limits?
Young Off-Roader is open to juniors aged 11 to 17 (on the date of their Experience) and over 145cm tall. Every junior driver must be brought to our Driving Centre at Dunkeld by their parent or guardian, who will be required to sign a consent form for the driving activity, and to confirm the young person’s age, height and date of birth.
Can you cater for disabilities?
Our vehicles have dual controls but no other adaptations, and may not be suitable for young people with disabilities. If you would like to discuss suitability, please call us on 01350 727720 before booking.
How many people can take part in the Experience?
Young Off-Roader one-hour Experiences are suitable for one or two junior drivers. If there are two junior drivers, they will get approximately 30 minutes of driving each and each driver will get their own personalised certificate.
Can I spectate?
As the driving centre is a vehicle assault course, it is not safe for spectators. Parents can watch from the viewing area in the comfort of their own car, or may wish to drop their junior drivers off at our driving centre and then go into Dunkeld for a coffee.
Alternatively, parents may want to book their own Land Rover Experience at the same time. Let us know when you make the booking, so that we can make sure both adult and junior Experiences coincide.
How long does the Experience last?
Each Young Off-Roader Experience lasts for one hour.
What about facilities?
Tea, coffee, water and canned drinks are available at our Driving Centre. There are portable toilets at the park where your Experience will take place in Dunkeld Park. Lunch can be enjoyed at our centre at Butterstone Loch (£14.95 per person) and should be booked in advance.
What is the cancellation policy?
There is a five day cancellation period should you wish to amend or cancel your booking. If you cancel within five days before your booked Young Off-Roader Experience, a refund cannot be issued and your booking cannot be changed to another date.
